This course covers an advanced Dermaplaning skin treatment

What is Dermaplaning?

Dermaplaning is a very safe and highly effective exfoliation treatment. It requires the use or a sterile surgical scalpel to gently shave the skins surface removing the top most layer of dead skin and vellus hair (peach fuzz). The treatment can be performed in around 30 minutes and has no downtime at all. It is a common myth that dermaplaning will make the vellus hair grow back thicker. This is not true at all, reassure your client that removing the hair during dermaplaning can not change the hair type. Only hormonal changes will do this.

Dermaplaning is an on-going treatment and most clients come on a regular

monthly basis for treatments. It is a very good way to maintain a healthy glow to your skin and not have any reactive areas that need additional healing needs. It is often combined with a chemical peel to give the client a better change in the outer layer of their skin. Most clients see and feel a difference in their facial skin within a few days. The cost is very reasonable and many clients some on their lunchtime for treatments and can return with very little redness to the skin

Course Information
Models: Students are required to arrange one model themselves. Model’s will be required to arrive at 12.50pm on the day of the course

• Student age: 16+
• Model age: 18+
• Qualification requirements: An NVQ level 2 in Beauty Therapy or equivalent (Educator can check this when contacted by student)
• Course manuals: All students are required to print their own manuals which we email to them as soon as booking fees are paid. We strongly advise that all students read through their manuals and bring them to their course’s
